“I do, Me too” postcard design

"I do, Me too" save the date postcard

Lucy and Paul, a couple based in Brisbane but are choosing to have their wedding with the beautiful backdrop of Maleny, came to me loving the recent "I do, Me too" wedding invitations I designed. You can see them here. They also showed me an image of another invitation they saw on Etsy that they liked ... so putting these ideas together and chatting to them at their place, hearing their engagement story, looking at the artwork they purchased on that day that is hanging pride of place in their lounge room ... the ideas of course started to form - and anyway - I am a designer afterall so I very rarely do the same thing twice (it just doesn't come naturally). So here's the finished product for their save-the-dates postcards. This option is such an economical and easy way to get all the necessary information out to your perspective guests. They arrive fully addressed...

You are my sunshine

This collection makes me smile. As most of you know I live in the sunny state (well most of the time) of Queensland... more accurately perhaps I should say, I live on the Sunshine Coast of the sunny state of Queensland! This last month we have had such spectacular weather that it inspired me to create this energising stationery set. It features a square invitation and response card, and the colours scream spring which is ideal timing. I've used daisies and blue eyed wild flowers to add a fresh, whimsical feel. I hope you enjoy viewing this inspiration piece as much I have creating it. The table setting stationery consists of sunflower seed favours with 'thank you' tags and place cards. Simple, beautiful details highlight the 'You are my sunshine' wedding stationery range. Well I hope you feel as energised as I do after scrolling through these images. So, let...

Tall Poppy collection

The Tall Poppy collection is naturally, our 'signature' collection. Well I think the inspiration for this one should be pretty clear. I have been wanting to design a range around the beautiful poppy for ages, so finally, here it is!! Colour is emphasised in the watercolour poppy wreath. Pinks, reds, pascals and green-y blues take stage with a wonderful vintage overtone. This design is one of my "off the rack" designs so can be purchased for half the cost of an original custom design. Great for the budget conscious bride - who happens to love poppies! Included in the invitation pack is a square folded invitation, response card and matching envelope and weekend events card. Here's a close up of the watercolour detail. Poppies are a statement on their own and can't be ignored! Whether you like bold colour or pascals, you can have it all with this beautifully versatile...

Birds of a feather collection

Welcome to the first of my "off the rack" wedding stationery designs. This range is based on two robin's escaping their cages to find each other! It's for the romantic bride who believes love has no boundaries. The invitation and response card show details of beautiful typography and flowing lines. 'Birds of a feather' is designed with billy buttons in mind. The set is a full wedding stationery range covering the ceremony and reception. Menus and place cards are here to show but I can design anything you need. Add a key to the place cards to subtly carry the bird cage theme across to your reception tables. 'Tears of joy' handkerchief cards are a perfect ceremony gift for the guests. Let us know what you think. I'd love to hear from you, or better yet; if you know of someone that may like this - why not share this...

“I DO” wedding invitations

{Michella + Lachlan} This afternoon's post showcases some wedding invitations that went out this week for a Sunshine Coast wedding to be held in beautiful Spring of this year, at Coolum. Michella and Lachlan came to me loving the "I do" "Me too" concept along with some heart/flower invitations she'd seen on the web... so with this in mind we customised some invitations that embraced both ideas and put them into one beautiful invitation set. And here it is: The wedding invitation pack consists of a 3-fold invitation with rounded edges, rsvp and accommodation card inserted with matching reply envelope. With a gorgeous colour palette of dusty pink, grey and white, this wedding is sure to be absolutely beautiful. Stay tuned for the rest of the stationery closer to the time. Until then, signing off for another week. Bye for now, Michelle

Eco inspired wedding stationery

Kraft paper, rubber stamp & typewriter fonts, twine, succulents... oh my!! "Eco" weddings never lose style. I had fun playing around today with a mock table setting for some stationery I'm working on. I'm going to be making quite a few changes but thought I'd throw these together as an inspiration piece anyway... so, here you go... my version of eco-inspired place cards, tags, menus & table numbers. If you like my work - why not share it! Bye for now Michelle

Modern save the dates

The beginning of the week I parted with these magnetic save the dates. Modern, simple, bold and eye catching was the brief, along with the colour scheme of orange, black and white. Apart from their beauty I'm sharing them with you today as they are functionally great too. The idea is this, intended guests place the magnet onto their fridge to remind them of the wedding date until the official invite is sent out. A great idea, and they're so simple to do. Here's how: Firstly get them designed by a professional. We then got everything printed at a local copy centre. These cards are digitally printed onto white hi-bulk card so they're sturdy and we went with double sided, but it could easily be achieved single sided. The magnets are printed to whatever size you like, we needed 60mm x 60mm. Here's the finished product: Secondly, follow the step by step...

{valentine’s stationery}

Inspired by the quote "Love is sweet when it's NEW, but it's sweeter when it's TRUE'. Spoil your true love with chocolates & a card this Valentine's Day. The Stand Tall Design Valentine's stationery range is available in my online shop, at the moment, it consists of chocolate wrappers in two kinds and a card. I use the Lindt 35g chocolate bars, the ones found in the supermarket or 7-11, to wrap but you can also use KitKats - Yummo! (now to see if I can control myself and not eat them before I give them ... I'll tell you now, the odds aren't lookin' good). Happy Valentine's Day everyone! ... go shopping now!

We've had family flying down too which I think helps get you in the festive mood. Now, I don't know about you, but I am terrible when it comes to choosing Christmas tags or cards...
