This was a great project because the owner, Harjeet, started with a design focus. She came to me at the very beginning. I do work for the fabulous Indian restaurant Indiyum in Caloundra and the owner's wife Harjeet came to me as she was wanting to start up her own mobile and home-based beauty business. We brainstormed business names and over a few days came up with 'Sundara' which is Indian for Beauty. The tag line came naturally when coming up with the visual look and feel for her identity, 'experience the sundara glow'. Marketing material followed with brochures, introductory offer flyers, business cards and an electronic letterhead. Look out for the 'Sundara' website - coming soon! It's sure to be so pretty. Thanks for stopping by, Michelle
Ok secret's out, I love stand up paddle boarding so when the opportunity came up in general conversation that this local Maroochydore shop needed a website ... I naturally said 'yes'. I love the idea of combing my work and my 'fun time'. We'd go for a paddle at Cotton Tree River Mouth before we sat down in-front of the computer to nut out the 'behind the scenes' work that goes on for a website. For me, it was a perfect combination. Here's what we came up with. Logo design We incorporated both kitesurfing and stand up paddle boarding into the one logo. Previously the store had two different logos but for the website we came up with one - helped to "unify" the look. Website design This is a large website and has many features which include: Online shopping cart with PayPal connect Events calendar Lessons/hire booking calendar Electronic...
I feel very privileged to have been apart of this beautiful art deco inspired photo shoot working with such talented Brisbane wedding suppliers. Being art deco, the concept is distinctly vintage but with a glamorous edge. Elements such as the art deco style layered fan shapes were taken from the stationery to the cake keeping all the elements and style cohesive. The shoot was held at the beautiful Tivoli Theatre. It was built in 1917 — perfectly Art Deco and restored in style providing the perfect venue for this inspirational photo shoot! We hope you've enjoyed the imagery and it offers you much inspiration! If you are after more shots from this shoot - it was featured on Polka Dot Bride so click the button below to check out more beautiful art deco wedding images. So excited to finally be able to show off the new look Dining Out Magazine Sunshine Coast edition that I designed. But at long last here it is. I hope you enjoy! Dining Out is a free magazine and relies totally on advertising to survive. Here's some full page ads I designed. Photography for this advertisement is by: Sunshine Coast photographer: Kerrie-Anne. If you like what you see and would like to see more. Dining Out Magazine can be found at any great restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. It also has great deals and vouchers so do make sure you look for it and take it home. It is well worth it! Bye for now, Michelle x
Lucy and Paul, a couple based in Brisbane but are choosing to have their wedding with the beautiful backdrop of Maleny, came to me loving the recent "I do, Me too" wedding invitations I designed. You can see them here. They also showed me an image of another invitation they saw on Etsy that they liked ... so putting these ideas together and chatting to them at their place, hearing their engagement story, looking at the artwork they purchased on that day that is hanging pride of place in their lounge room ... the ideas of course started to form - and anyway - I am a designer afterall so I very rarely do the same thing twice (it just doesn't come naturally). So here's the finished product for their save-the-dates postcards. This option is such an economical and easy way to get all the necessary information out to your perspective guests. They arrive fully addressed...

Create a minimalistic feel using clean lines and bold accents of colour that 'pop' against a classic black and white background. Ensure whatever you choose for your 'signature cocktail' matches your colour scheme. So, what do you think? I'd love to hear from you, or better yet, if you know of someone that may like this - why not share the love. Bye for now, Michelle Credits: Photography: Chesterton Smith Photography, Coolum. Floristry: The White Magnolia, Peregian Beach. Chairs and crockery: Adorn Event Hire, Eatons Hill. Vases: Splash Events, Noosaville.
Beautiful hand made papers, skeleton leaves, twine and kraft paper... these are a few of my favourite things!! The save the date pack includes a seed packet with the quote on the front as a sticker 'Love begins as a seed' and on the back 'And grows when nurtured'. The invitation set, feels as good as it looks. Soft and delicate. Some reception inspiration: a succulent as the wedding favour, kraft paper place cards and the centrepiece displays thyme, rosemary and mixed herbs creating a beautiful and fragrant aroma in a gorgeous silver antique tea set. Offset them with old books... and your eco wedding look is complete. So, what do you think? I'd love to hear from you, or better yet, if you know of someone that may like this - why not share the love. Bye for now, Michelle Credits: Photography: Chesterton Smith Photography, Coolum. You may have seen a previous post of mine based around a piece of fabric I found in the back of my hallway cupboard. You can see it here if you haven't. This one is indeed another version. I just love beautiful fabric and will look for any excuse to pull out my Mum's old Bernina sewing machine. To compliment the wonderful rustic, country and "hand-made" feel this set creates - an ideal favour is hand-made jam in preserving jars. The lids are also perfect for slotting your piece of fabric into. Another way to use the fabric is in the ceremony 'order of service'. It nicely adds texture your guests can feel. Also displayed is our well-known 'tears for joy' hankerchief gifts. Reception styling is full of colour and texture. Emblem place cards and a rose tied with twine. Love is in the details. A yellow retro scooter just...
