You are my sunshine

This collection makes me smile. As most of you know I live in the sunny state (well most of the time) of Queensland... more accurately perhaps I should say, I live on the Sunshine Coast of the sunny state of Queensland! This last month we have had such spectacular weather that it inspired me to create this energising stationery set. It features a square invitation and response card, and the colours scream spring which is ideal timing. I've used daisies and blue eyed wild flowers to add a fresh, whimsical feel. I hope you enjoy viewing this inspiration piece as much I have creating it. The table setting stationery consists of sunflower seed favours with 'thank you' tags and place cards. Simple, beautiful details highlight the 'You are my sunshine' wedding stationery range. Well I hope you feel as energised as I do after scrolling through these images. So, let...

Tall Poppy collection

The Tall Poppy collection is naturally, our 'signature' collection. Well I think the inspiration for this one should be pretty clear. I have been wanting to design a range around the beautiful poppy for ages, so finally, here it is!! Colour is emphasised in the watercolour poppy wreath. Pinks, reds, pascals and green-y blues take stage with a wonderful vintage overtone. This design is one of my "off the rack" designs so can be purchased for half the cost of an original custom design. Great for the budget conscious bride - who happens to love poppies! Included in the invitation pack is a square folded invitation, response card and matching envelope and weekend events card. Here's a close up of the watercolour detail. Poppies are a statement on their own and can't be ignored! Whether you like bold colour or pascals, you can have it all with this beautifully versatile...

Birds of a feather collection

Welcome to the first of my "off the rack" wedding stationery designs. This range is based on two robin's escaping their cages to find each other! It's for the romantic bride who believes love has no boundaries. The invitation and response card show details of beautiful typography and flowing lines. 'Birds of a feather' is designed with billy buttons in mind. The set is a full wedding stationery range covering the ceremony and reception. Menus and place cards are here to show but I can design anything you need. Add a key to the place cards to subtly carry the bird cage theme across to your reception tables. 'Tears of joy' handkerchief cards are a perfect ceremony gift for the guests. Let us know what you think. I'd love to hear from you, or better yet; if you know of someone that may like this - why not share this...

Modern Glam wedding invitations

I designed these letterpress wedding invitations for the latest edition of 'The Bride's Tree' online magazine. The theme was 'Modern Glam'. They are two colour and silver foiled on a beautiful cotton paper. The letterpress printing is by The Creative Emporium in Brisbane. They did an superb job! (This photo by Chesterton Smith Photography)  I also supplied ceremony stationery consisting of an order or service fan and 'tears of joy' handkerchief card. The design of reception and table setting stationery involved supplying table numbers, place cards, menus and favours. The favours are french glass jars with macarons supplied by the lovely (and very patient) Mel from Chocolate 2 Chilli.   Below is a list of the other Sunshine Coast wedding professionals that were involved this gorgeous photo shoot. ‘The Bride’s Tree’ Vol. 2 feature

It provides an online directory of Sunshine Coast wedding professionals and offers wedding inspiration and ideas through their blog and online Magazine. For their latest edition, Vol. 2, they have featured some of my stationery and favours. The theme is 'Modern Glam'. Here's some screen grabs of the pages and you can view the full magazine online for free here. Table numbers, place cards, favours, menus, order of service and ceremony stationery were all needed for this beautiful Modern Glam wedding theme. “I DO” wedding invitations

{Michella + Lachlan} This afternoon's post showcases some wedding invitations that went out this week for a Sunshine Coast wedding to be held in beautiful Spring of this year, at Coolum. Michella and Lachlan came to me loving the "I do" "Me too" concept along with some heart/flower invitations she'd seen on the web... so with this in mind we customised some invitations that embraced both ideas and put them into one beautiful invitation set. And here it is: The wedding invitation pack consists of a 3-fold invitation with rounded edges, rsvp and accommodation card inserted with matching reply envelope. With a gorgeous colour palette of dusty pink, grey and white, this wedding is sure to be absolutely beautiful. Stay tuned for the rest of the stationery closer to the time. Until then, signing off for another week. Bye for now, Michelle

Eco inspired wedding stationery

Kraft paper, rubber stamp & typewriter fonts, twine, succulents... oh my!! "Eco" weddings never lose style. I had fun playing around today with a mock table setting for some stationery I'm working on. I'm going to be making quite a few changes but thought I'd throw these together as an inspiration piece anyway... so, here you go... my version of eco-inspired place cards, tags, menus & table numbers. If you like my work - why not share it! Bye for now Michelle

J+R Invitation & RSVP Postcard

Introducing this weeks creation! "Plantation" This style is also going to be a part of my 'signature' collection. So you can see the whole stationery set later when I launch officially in September. Incorporating an RSVP postcard makes it easy for intended guests to respond... and the bride & groom to keep them in their wedding album too (nawww, cute!). Have a great weekend, bye for now. Michelle

inspired by fabric

It's funny what inspires me from week to week. This week it's this gorgeous piece of fabric I found. Isn't it just devine. Even funnier thing is, I found it... on the weekend shoved in the back of the cupboard. So... I decided to base one of my new "signature" ranges on it. I'm calling it 'inspired by fabric'. The idea is to use ANY seasonal fabric that is related to your wedding/event. It could be lace, material from your gown, canvas or something you saw and just LOVED - similar to my find. It was my first time on a sewing machine and my darling Mum was very patient with me - I {heart} my Mum! Anyway, here's the end result for the invitations: I also made up a 'spread the love' jam jar using the same fabric. These could be used for cute favours. Now that I'm in...

salt magazine refresh

I've been designing salt magazine for over a year now, and it just keeps getting more and more exciting to be involved with. The Autumn 2012 edition, they decided it was time to update their look and feel. Yay! It was hard work and there was alot of pressure because people love it!! There is a strong following and they notice every detail - especially if they change. The result has been extremely positive with most comments starting with - "it looks so modern and fresh!" Which is exactly what we were going for. While I was redesigning the mag, I also made a new logo... why not? Here's some pics of the new look and feel. I hope you like it as much as we do. You can pick up a salt magazine at most places out and about on the sunshine coast. It's free so take it home...
