Kraft paper, rubber stamp & typewriter fonts, twine, succulents... oh my!! "Eco" weddings never lose style. I had fun playing around today with a mock table setting for some stationery I'm working on. I'm going to be making quite a few changes but thought I'd throw these together as an inspiration piece anyway... so, here you go... my version of eco-inspired place cards, tags, menus & table numbers. If you like my work - why not share it! Bye for now Michelle

Introducing this weeks creation! "Plantation" This style is also going to be a part of my 'signature' collection. So you can see the whole stationery set later when I launch officially in September. Incorporating an RSVP postcard makes it easy for intended guests to respond... and the bride & groom to keep them in their wedding album too (nawww, cute!). Have a great weekend, bye for now. It's funny what inspires me from week to week. This week it's this gorgeous piece of fabric I found. Isn't it just devine. Even funnier thing is, I found it... on the weekend shoved in the back of the cupboard. So... I decided to base one of my new "signature" ranges on it. I'm calling it 'inspired by fabric'. The idea is to use ANY seasonal fabric that is related to your wedding/event. It could be lace, material from your gown, canvas or something you saw and just LOVED - similar to my find. It was my first time on a sewing machine and my darling Mum was very patient with me - I {heart} my Mum! Anyway, here's the end result for the invitations: I also made up a 'spread the love' jam jar using the same fabric. These could be used for cute favours. Now that I'm in...

The beginning of the week I parted with these magnetic save the dates. Modern, simple, bold and eye catching was the brief, along with the colour scheme of orange, black and white. Apart from their beauty I'm sharing them with you today as they are functionally great too. The idea is this, intended guests place the magnet onto their fridge to remind them of the wedding date until the official invite is sent out. A great idea, and they're so simple to do. Here's how: Firstly get them designed by a professional. We then got everything printed at a local copy centre. These cards are digitally printed onto white hi-bulk card so they're sturdy and we went with double sided, but it could easily be achieved single sided. The magnets are printed to whatever size you like, we needed 60mm x 60mm. Here's the finished product: Secondly, follow the step by step...

Julz + Shane And that gorgeous smile did not stop all day, which is incredible because to say this day was wet, is an absolute understatement. It rained and rained and rained! So hopefully as the saying goes, it does bring great luck for the bride and groom. As most of you know I've been a part of this beautiful wedding from the very beginning as part of the bridal party but I also designed the stationery for the event ... so I'd like to share with you how it all went on the day! You can have a closer look at the invitation pack I designed here. It also showcases a website I designed for the lovely couple and their international audience. Here is the Ceremony 'Order of service' booklet: and here's the reception table stationery including table names (engraved timber), place cards and rubber stamped favour bags &...

My creative energy was in overdrive with this one! When one of my best friends decided she was getting married, I was so excited. Obviously for the fact that she had found her 'One', but also because we are two very like-minded creative souls, and with this energy working together on an event - you can ensure the end result is going to be nothing short of 'visually exciting'! The colour palette alone is enough to keep me up all night sketching ideas but the fact we have two people with a culturally rich background of African and Indigenous, the ideas came, shall we say ... naturally. I'm absolutely honoured to be an integral part of this most gorgeous wedding in being asked to provide the styling, invitations, ceremony & reception stationery and website design (as well as being the Chief Bridesmaid... naww!). With an international and local guest list, we decided...

Loved working on these! The series consisted of Wedding invitations, response card, wishing well & information card. The invitation is a three panel roll-fold.
